The Landing at Lake Norman Location & FAQ

Main Venue Location

The Landing at Lake Norman VENUE is located on Lake Norman at 630 Williamson Road, Mooresville, NC 28117. 

It is currently undergoing inside the building renovations for the Venue Showroom, the "Dream Worthy" Bridal Suite, "The Anchor Point" Grooms Private Lounge and the Rehearsal Dinners room.

The Exterior is being upgraded with new private entry Doors and building upgrades until end of January 2026. The Exterior is also in the  design stages as far a New Landscaping, Private Parking & Temporary Vendor unloading & loading, new upgraded concrete walkway to the waterfront Dock by Early Spring or sooner! The Back Tented area  will have an new foundation set under the tent for a future, non slip surface under the entire tent. High Heal approved. Planning and upgraded by Spring 2026.  

Expanded on-site Parking by the end of 2026.

Off-Site Parking & "After-Party" Location

We have limited On-Site Venue parking. Our Off-site Main Parking for you and your Guests is located in front of the Soon to be Open mid January, the 170 Seat "SoLuna Baja Cafe" Private Room and the Duel Concept Restaurant & Private Venue Space at 835 Williamson Road, Suite #C, Mooresville, NC 28117. 

Guests can Arrive, Park and we will accommodate all guests inside the "SoLuna Baja Cafe" Private Room for pre Wedding & Event "Cash Bar" &  a "Cali Cabo Baja" style Full Cafe Menu and offer a Free Non Alcohol Beverage Bar (You can add an Optional "Pay to Stay" with light Apps and beverages)

A Shuttle will take all the Guests to the Venue less than 2 minutes traveling time, and run back and forth for your guests to accommodate all there needs. After the Wedding & Reception, the Shuttle will return Your Guests to the Off-Site Parking, where the "After-Party" is located inside and open until 2 am or until everyone has left the buidling! Shuttles to located Hotels, Uber & Lyft rides will be available as well, so All Your Guest will get to the Hotels & Home Safe. 

Loading & Unloading at the Venue

Bridal Party will have all day access the day of the Wedding and we will work together for the day coordinating access timelines and private parking. Shuttle Service will be provided for all others. 

Vendors will coordinated times for Unloading & Loading as Temporary Parking Only!. Then have to Shuttle to and from the Venue Off-Site Parking. Since this is an All-Inclusive Venue, only the Event Planner, Florist, Photographer and Officiant will be needing access on-site. 

The All-Inclusive Venue provided Services has everything already at the Venue!

Our Preferred DJ & Videographer package has all Equipment On-Site and after the Wedding & Reception, stays stored On-Site! 

How to Get to the Off-Site Guest Parking & Lake Front Venue

Off-Site Guest Parking and "After-Party" location (835 Williamson Road, Suite C, Mooresville, NC 28117)


From Charlotte, take the Interstate 77 North (Expressway during Heavy Traffic) to Exit 33 (Williamson Road Exit) and head West over the Interstate approx. 1/4 Mile and turn Right into the Shopping Center (Future Starbucks Location) at (Bridgewater Lane) and to the far right is the Off-Site Parking and the new Dual Concept Restaurants and the "After-Party" 2nd Venue open until 2 am.  Guest can head inside for a drink and Baja style Appetizers and Quick Eats. The Shuttle service will take all the Guests to the Main Wedding & Event Venue, as well as return them pack to the same location after the Wedding Reception to head home or go inside for the "After-Party"


From Charlotte or North of Mooresville, the Alternate Exit is taking the Interstate 77 North (Expressway during Heavy Traffic) to Exit 35 (Brawley School Road Exit) and head West over the Interstate approx. 1/2 mile to Williamson Road and take a Left at the Traffic light. Head South approx.. 3 miles passing the Wedding & Event Venue, over the Lake and and turn Left at the first Light (Bridgewater Lane) into the Shopping Center (Future Starbucks Location) and the far Right is the Off-Site Parking and the new Dual Concept Restaurants and the "After-Party" 2nd Venue open until 2 am.  Guest can head inside for a drink and Baja style Appetizers and Quick Eats. Backup Plans for Outdoor Weddings: Weather, Tents, and Vendor Coordination (* Excepts of an Article

The excellent, Lake Front Wedding & Event Venue is Outdoors under a 20'x40' or an Optional  30' x 60' or a 30'x100' Commercial Tent. It is Heated or Cooled, and the Venue is Responsible for all Tent coordination, set-up, management, and everything else's that is required. Your do not have to worry about anything.

For many couples, a tent is the backbone of their outdoor backup plan and choosing the right tent, its location, outdoor decor and more is normally Your job and the Venue just shows you where to put it?

VENUE ANSWER - We are in charge of the Tent and everything else. Not put in the hands of others, so We have you covered. We have the perfect location each and every time.

 

Guest Comfort: Heat, Cold, Wind, and Bugs (*)

Weather backups are not just about rain. Heat waves, chilly evenings, wind, and insects can make guests uncomfortable even if the sky stays clear. Build comfort items into your plan so the day feels thoughtful and prepared instead of reactive.

VENUE ANSWER - This is North Carolina and on Lake Norman, where we have Four Seasons in a Year and Four Seasons in a Day! Even Indoor Venues have back up plans for weather.  We control the Tent and Venue, and plan for all types of weather well in advance. We can plan  that the Tent is either Heated, Cooled, added Optional portable HVAC Refrigeration, with full Sidewalls with Windows to fully Enclosed the Tent and maintain the Lake View and more. We will have Shaded Areas besides Under the Tent, have full on-site Hydration areas during hotter times, and Coffee Stations for Colder times. Have Insect Repellant Stations and other means of deflection. We provide the Tents, Tables, Chairs, Linens, Dinner Plating, and Table Decor, so we know how to batten down the hatches at the Lake.

These small touches signal that We Care about Your Guests’ comfort regardless of what nature does.

And Plan B, worst case Hurricane back-up is the 2nd Venue that is the "After-Party" for up to 170 Guests!

 

Coordinating Backup Plans With Vendors (*)

Weather‑proofing only works if your vendors are fully looped in. Early in the planning process, ask each vendor what they need in order to adapt to a backup plan. Photographers may need covered locations with good light for portraits. Florists may suggest different mechanics for arrangements that will sit in the sun versus under a tent. Bands and DJs will want to know where power outlets are and how protected it is from the weather.

VENUE ANSWERS: As the All Inclusive Venue, we Are The Vendor or Control the other Vendors and also have an In-House Wedding & Event Coordinator. Venue, Tent, Reception Catering, Bar Services, Rentals, In-House Audio Visual, Outdoor Signage, Bridal Suite & Grooms Suite Nice Hotel Style set-up with all days Beverages, Snacks and Catering and More. And Our Preferred All-Inclusive DJ - Videographer Package, has a Primary Set-up at the Wedding & Event Venue, as well as a 2nd equipment already set-up at the 2nd location for the "After-Party, so there is no issues with set-up. 

All Communication will be on Your Secured, Online Portal so you see all we are doing, planning and working with other Vendors in Real Time up to the Day of Your Wedding or Event and After as well. And We Act as the Advance Weather Team and adjust as needed.

We will also work with Your Florist, Officiant, Event Planner, Photographer and if you choose a regular DJ. (The alternate DJ has very detailed Venue Requirements as far as On-Site Advance Planning, Electrical Requirements, Back-Up plans and more, in order to be approved and allowed on-site! No Sowing up an hour before the Wedding or Event!)

    Option Larger Tent Details

    A 30x60 wedding tent typically seats 100 to 150 guests for a sit-down dinner with round tables, but can fit up to 200+ for banquet tables or even 300+ for cocktail style, depending on layout, table size (rounds vs. rectangles), and adding space for dance floors, buffets, or head tables. Expect about 120-144 guests with standard 60-inch round tables, or up to 192 guests with 8-foot banquet tables. Common Seating Capacities for a 30x60 Tent (1,800 sq ft)

    • Round Tables (8-10 guests each): 100-128 guests, or up to 126 with a head table.
    • Rectangular Tables (8-10 guests each): Around 144-180 guests, or up to 192 with space.
    • Buffet/Head Table: Reduces capacity to 104-168 guests.
    • Cocktail/Standing: Up to 300-360 guests. 

    A 30x100 foot wedding tent, which provides 3,000 square feet of space, can typically seat between 200 and 300 guests for a dinner reception, depending on the specific layout and additional elements included. The final capacity is highly dependent on several factors:

    • Seating Style:
      • Seated Dinner (Round Tables): Approximately 210-242 guests with ample space for movement and serving staff.
      • Buffet-style Dinner: Around 250 guests, as the buffet line requires additional space and specific traffic flow.
      • Cathedral (Row) Seating: Up to 429-440 guests if only chairs in rows are used, such as for a wedding ceremony.
      • Standing/Cocktail Party: The tent can accommodate up to 440 guests in a stand-up mingling setting with limited seating.
